Abstract

The DBAL will provide an interface to Typo3 to use different DBMS.

Extension type

The DBAL cannot be done as an extension. Extensive changes to the core are needed. Extension developers will have to update their extensions if they wish to integrate the DBAL into their extensions.

Status

New development. Planning phase.

Compliance

The implementation will be based on a TYPO3 development version (V3.6). Core changes are needed.
