1.4.1. Selections

Selections are a main concept used to provide a powerful tool for retrieval of the stored media meta data. With selections the user can query the database with a visual tool to define the rules to search for media items.

Clicking on the title and the + = - icons will combine a selection which helps to find the wanted media. The selection can be stored and used by external applications like Frontend plugins.

 

Any extension can extend the DAM with own selections. An example can be found in the dam_demo extension.
