1.5.7. Multi language support

The DAM uses the system language support, which means the meta data records can be translated with so called overlay records. The translated records do not allow to edit data which is non-editable anyway or don't make sense to be translated. The behavior of each field can be reconfigured with an own extension by modifying TCA of course.

To activate the possibility to create and edit translated meta data, a translation of the Media SysFolder have to be created. This can be done with the Web>Page module for example. This is like creating a  translation for a normal page.
