1.1.2. Features of the indexer

The indexing engine has several features:

  1. HTML data priority: 1) <title>-data 2) <meta-keywords>, 3) <meta-description>, 4) <body>

  2. Indexing external files: Text formats like html and txt and doc, pdf by external programs (catdoc / pdftotext)

  3. Wordcounting and frequency used to rate results

  4. Exact, partially or metaphone search

  5. Searching freely for sentences (non-indexed).

  6. NOT case-sensitive in any ways though.
