RTE HTMLarea

7.1.2. Internet Explorer and mod_gzip

If the Apache module mod_gzip is activated, it adds a 'vary'-header to every document. Internet Explorer cannot process correctly such headers, causing incorrect behavior of htmlArea RTE and, in particular, of the block style and text style drop-down selector lists. Therefore, mod_gzip compression, at least of style sheet files, should be disabled. See the article written by Jan Wulff on this subject in the Tutorial section of this document.
